Migrants labourers arrive at Charbagh Railway Station in Lucknow via Shramik Special train on SundayLUCKNOW: In a bid to provide employment and social security to over 23 lakh migrant workers who have come back to the state from various states in the past two months, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday announced to set up a migration commission. The commission, Yogi said, would provide social security to the migrants including insurance, in what would pave way for a mechanism wherein other states would be required to take UP government's permission before taking back the migrant labourers after lockdown is fully lifted. The CM took the decision while presiding over a review meeting with team 11 at his official residence.
Image used for representational purpose onlyLUCKNOW: It will now be possible to purchase premium brands of liquor, wine and beer from the comforts of an air conditioned mall in Uttar Pradesh. The UP cabinet has cleared 'The Uttar Pradesh Excise (Settlement of Licenses for Premium Retail Vends of Foreign Liquor) Rules, 2020', which will now allow the sale of certain categories of liquors in malls within the state. Liquor can be sold in stand alone shops or in multi-product chains and supermarkets, as are available in airports or cities like Gurugram and Goa. The government has also reduced the permissible loss in re-distillation of liquor from the earlier 2-2.5% to now 0.5-1%. This has been done keeping in mind
