It’s exactly what a senior IBM executive seems to be facing. According to a report by ZDNet, Rodrigo Kede Lima quit IBM sometime in May to join Microsoft but till now has been unable to do so. The reason? A lawsuit filed by IBM, which states that Lima breached his non-compete agreement. Microsoft is gearing up to hold its Xbox Series X first-party games event on July 23 at 9AM PT/9:30PM IST. At the event, the Redmond-based tech giant is expected to showcase the upcoming first-party games for its next-generation console. Microsoft has announced that it would discontinue its game streaming service Mixer on July 22. The tech giant plans to move over to Facebook Gaming and will transition Mixer’s content producers and users to Facebook Gaming, as per a report by Digital Trends. Video game streaming has gone big in recent years, the big players in the market being Amazon’s Twitch and YouTube. Teams, the video conferencing tool by Microsoft, has rolled out a new feature that will allow users to use the platform to add their personal accounts instead of just official accounts. This feature has been made available to new and existing users. While existing users can simply add an account to the Teams mobile app at work and toggle between the professional and personal accounts, new users can download the Teams app — available on App Store and Google Play Store — to use the platform. The company will roll out the 49-person view as a preview this month and it will be available for all the users by this fall. At its Build developer conference, Satya Nadella-led Microsoft has announced the new features that its video conferencing tool, Microsoft Teams, is set to receive. “From customised templates to new tasking capabilities, we’re introducing fresh ways to stay productive in Teams,” said Jared Spataro, corporate vice president for Microsoft 365. Soon, Microsoft Teams’ users will be able to pick from customisable templates such as common business scenarios or industry-specific templates.
